Customer account

A free customer account gives you the opportunity to use all the advantages of our website. To open such an account, all you have to do is enter your first and last name, your e-mail address and a password of your choice. Access to your customer account is only possible after entering your personal password; you should therefore always treat your access information confidentially and close the browser window as soon as you have finished communicating with us, especially if you share your computer with other people. After registering for the newsletter using the double opt-in procedure, your e-mail address will be used with your consent for our own advertising purposes until you unsubscribe from the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Our portals also offer the option of convenient shopping. To conclude a contract and for delivery, you will need to enter your billing address and, if applicable, a different delivery address, as well as a telephone number. Furthermore, you must choose between various payment options and, if necessary, enter additional data. We use the data provided by you without your separate consent exclusively for the fulfilment and processing of your order. Your legitimate interests will be taken into account in accordance with the statutory provisions. Your personal data is encrypted during the ordering process and transmitted via the Internet. We use technical and organisational measures to secure our website and other systems against loss, destruction, access, modification or dissemination of your data by unauthorised persons. Once the contract has been fully processed and the purchase price has been paid in full, your data will be blocked for further use and deleted after expiry of the tax and commercial law regulations, unless you have expressly consented to the further use of your data. We would like to point out that the text of the contract will be stored by Josef Mäser GmbH after the contract has been concluded.

Use of cookies

We use cookies on various pages to make visiting our website more attractive and to enable the use of certain functions. These are small text files that are stored on your computer. Most of the cookies we use are deleted from your hard drive at the end of the browser session (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain on your computer and enable us to recognize your computer on your next visit (so-called persistent cookies). These cookies are used to greet you with your username and make it unnecessary for you to re-enter your password or fill in forms with your data when placing subsequent orders.

Forwarding of personal data

The data you enter will only be passed on to fulfil your order, for example to group companies, shipping companies or payment service providers, or if we are legally obliged to do so.

Social media plug-ins

We use plug-ins on our websites from social networks such as

-facebook.com, of Facebook Inc, 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA; https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy- Instagram Inc, 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA, 94025, USA (‘Instagram’); https://help.instagram.com/155833707900388

- google +, of Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, California, 94043, USA; https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads?hl=de

You can recognise the plugins by the respective network logo. Simply by accessing our website, no direct connection to the social network servers is established by the Internet browser you are using and no data is forwarded. The respective button only becomes active when you hover over it with the cursor and click on it after the information appears that the button only becomes active when you click on it. You can then submit your recommendation with a second click. If you have activated the button, it transmits various data to the social network. This may include the data mentioned under point 3. If you are logged in to Facebook, Instagram or Google + at the same time as visiting our site, it cannot be ruled out that the provider will assign the visit to your network account. If you use the plug-in functions (e.g. clicking the ‘Like’ button, posting a comment), this information is also transmitted directly from your browser to the respective social network and may be stored there. The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by the networks can be found in the privacy policies of Facebook, Instagram and Google.

Matomo

The open source web analysis service Matomo is used on this website. We use Matomo to record and analyse the use of our online shop by our visitors. Usage profiles are created on the basis of pseudonyms, whereby permanent cookies are stored on end devices and read by us. This allows us to recognise and count returning visitors. Our use also includes heatmap & session recording. The heatmap shows the areas with frequent mouse activity or frequent clicks, while session recording tracks individual user sessions. This helps us to track page views and their origin and to identify problems such as pages not found or search engine problems.

Matomo creates reports for us as the website operator so that we can respond to the needs of our visitors accordingly, for example by adjusting the layout, creating new content or displaying personalised content. Matomo processes the following data:

Anonymised IP addresses (last 2 bytes removed)

Pseudo-anonymised location (based on IP)

Date, time

Accessed title and URL of the page

URL of the previous page (if permitted)

Screen resolution, local time

Clicks and downloads of files

External links, page load time

Geographical information (low accuracy due to IP)

Browser language, user agent

Interactions with forms (without content)

Operating system

Shopping basket

Order progress

The contact form also processes the sender's email address. This data is processed solely for the purpose of responding to inquiries and is not passed on or used for marketing purposes. Other data entered in forms is not recorded or visualized by Matomo.

Matomo uses cookies for data processing and actively utilises them. The processing takes place on the basis of your consent in accordance with Section 25 (1) TTDSG and Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, which can be given via our cookie banner and can be revoked at any time. As the operator of the online shop, we have a legitimate interest in analysing usage to optimise our website and advertising.

Matomo is hosted in the Matomo Cloud on a European server, which means that all analysis data remains in the EU and is not passed on externally. Further information on Matomo's terms of use and data protection regulations can be found here: https://matomo.org/privacy

Deletion of your data and right to information

If your data is no longer required for the aforementioned purposes, it will be deleted. If data must be retained for legal reasons, it will be blocked. The data will then no longer be available for further use. According to the currently valid data protection law, you have a right to free information about your stored data and, if necessary, a right to correction, blocking or deletion of this data. Please contact us at the address given above.

Changes to this privacy policy

We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy. The current version of the privacy policy is always available on our online platforms.
